$500 a year for a barely-stable 2D, untried knock-off 3D, a company that offers minimal support, and if I don't pay, it quits working entirely? What happens when they raise the price to $1500 a year? What happens when they sell out to "EA-CAD" and gut the software? Like when Eagle Point took over Landcadd and broke it into several modules, increasing the cost dramatically and making it almost useless (what? You never heard of Landcadd? I FUCKING WONDER WHY). I pay the $120 for Sketchup because it's an awesome program. I've been using Sketchup for 3D for years, and can continue doing so under Trimble's annual upgrade for $120 a year (or keep using the previous version.in perpetuity) ![]() However, if Dassault thinks this pricing strategy is appropriate, their software needs be be many metric fuck-tons more stable than it has been. When it comes to creating designs and using drawings, CAD is one of the best systems for making the best types of drawings. It is a CAD application that provides you with advanced and basic functions for drawing. That being said, it is still much, much cheaper than AutoCAD. DraftSight is an application that allows you to create and edit DWG files. I cannot do that now I have posted on the nearly useless 3DS forums asking if I can still get 2018 SP3. I am still pretty disgusted, especially since I put off purchasing DraftSight 2018, and was planning on buying a perpetual license for 2019. (By the way this is exactly the reason I bought a perpetual license!) I am used to Autodesk drafting software and. A complete set of edit, design and automation tools for your essential 2D design and drafting needs. I have a perpetual license for 2017 and I fully expect Dassault will honor their contract. I have no experience with the paid version, but the free (2D) version is very easy to use. I am not certain how the subscription will work. If you have a paid version of DraftSight pre-2019 it will still be usable. ![]() Download free table of electrical symbols in AutoCAD DWG Blocks and BIM Objects.
